Happy Christmas Eve morning! My husband and oldest son have to work this morning, so we have had a relaxing morning getting a few things ready for our family Christmas this afternoon. We even got a bit of snow last night, so we will kind of have a white Christmas! Yeah!
I thought it would be fun to share a family Christmas tradition. I will share one of mine and I’d love for you to share yours in the comments!
A family tradition from our home!
One tradition that has been passed down from my grandparents, is making Peppernuts. My grandparents would make a huge batch of these cookies before Thanksgiving and put them in popcorn tins. By Christmas the anise flavor had thoroughly flavored the cookies and they were SO good! These are not your typical Peppernuts that you find in the Midwest. These are very different, but are our favorite.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: This week’s “Let’s chat!” post is a public post (future “Let’s chat!” posts will be for paid subscribers only). I have decided to offer my weekly Intentional Inspirations Newsletter and archives for free here at Substack, and then my additional “extra” content will be for paid subscribers who want to give a little to support what I do. I love to write and encourage you and will continue to do so through my weekly newsletters which you can access for free. But if you want to go deeper, get access to some of my extra writing, and support me as well in the process, you can subscribe below!
