Intentional Inspirations Newsletter - 11/7/20
Hello,
This email newsletter is going to be a little short this week -- partly because I just don't have a lot of words to share, and partly because God is calling me to be still, to be quiet, and spend time in prayer.
Our country is in turmoil. We have an election that appears to be wrought with fraud and who knows if we will ever know who truly won. But you know, that is what happens when sin rules in the hearts of man. Sin is always destructive, corrupt, and leads to death. It is only in finding forgiveness through Jesus, repenting and turning from our sin, that we can have life, that we can have true freedom.
Do you have that true freedom today? If not, please reply to this email! I'd love to share with you how you can have peace and freedom in Jesus.
I truly believe that we are in a spiritual battle right now. The future of our country is hanging in the balance. Will we repent, turn from our wicked ways, humble ourselves before God and seek Him? Or will we continue to turn our backs on God, individually and collectively as a nation, and proceed down a path that leads to death?
We want to continue to experience the freedoms we have enjoyed here in the USA, but it has only been the grace of God that has held back the judgment that we deserve. As each year goes by, our country experiences more and more breakdowns of the institutions that God ordained -- the family, the church, the government. Little by little God has been taken out of our families, our churches, our schools, and our government. When we turn our backs on God, it only leads to death and destruction.
"If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
God has used this verse to really speak to me these past few days. Many of us are crying out to God to heal our land, but we neglect to realize what God is calling us to do first -- to humble ourselves, to pray, to seek His face, and to turn from our wicked ways.
Oh, it is easy to say a pray for God to "heal our land" and save this nation of the USA from destruction. But the healing of our land begins in the hearts of man. It begins in my heart. I shared more of my thoughts here if you want to read them. If you feel comfortable, share a prayer in the comments section. Let's humble ourselves and lift up our hearts in repentance to the Lord. Only He can bring healing to our own hearts and to our nation.
Praying for each of you, that you are finding your rest, your hope, your strength, in Jesus alone!
