Intentional Inspirations Newsletter - 4/21/23
It is a beautiful spring day here in Kansas — although it is supposed to get below freezing one or two nights this weekend. It can’t decide if spring is really here or if winter is coming back!
I have some really helpful resources to share with you today and I hope you enjoy them. If you can’t tell, my focus on getting into the Bible is becoming a recurring theme. But I can’t think of anything better to encourage you with as we live through these crazy days! So I will continue to share with you resources that I find that will encourage you in this important area of your life.
Our middle son will be graduating from our homeschool in about a month, so we have been busy getting ready for that. Tonight he gets his senior pictures taken, and my youngest two children will be getting their pictures taken too. Fun!
Well, I need to get this finished up and posted so I can be free to get ready for tonight. May each of you have a blessed weekend!
I love this image from Daily Grace! What a great list of ideas to focus on this spring. If you are looking for some amazing Bible studies to work through, check out all that Daily Grace has to offer!
These Gluten-Free, Low-Carb Wraps are so easy to make! Use these to make a sandwich wrap for lunch, add some eggs and bacon for a breakfast wrap, or even use to make tacos or enchiladas!
This past week our church held our yearly Bible Conference. It was SO good and I want to share the links so if you are interested you can go listen/watch. I learned so much, and Dr. Ellen’s Bible-based teaching made so clear the Biblical answers to many of the issues we are facing today.

I can’t recommend this conference enough!
If you are new to homeschooling or need a fresh new way to schedule your days, consider time blocking! In this 4-part blog series I explain how I have planned out our homeschool schedule over the many years I have been homeschooling. Find freedom in time blocking your day!
I have been slowly growing my Bible study library, and am really excited about this new resource! It is not a commentary, but a volume to cross-reference scripture — allowing the Bible to be its own commentary! Right now you can pre-order this book at a HUGE 51% discount at VCY American bookstore OR you can buy on Amazon as well.
One of my homeschool friends shared about this homeschool dad, Scott Clifton, who has not only written some amazing books on government, economics, literature, etc., but also teaches online classes with these materials. I looked at the samples and am considering reading through this book on government next year in our homeschool (maybe the Economics one too).
Scott also offers some free math classes covering Algebra 1/2, 1, and 2. Go check them out and see if you could use these in your homeschool!
We are living in a time when we are seeing Christians, pastors, churches moving away from the truth that the Bible, God’s Word, is our foundation, that God is sufficient, and His Word is sufficient. It really breaks my heart to see those claiming to be followers of Jesus choosing to view and interpret the Bible through the lens of the culture, instead of the other way around. I want to share a sermon series that covers the sufficiency of Scripture, and the importance of preaching the Word. Go to this link, and listen beginning at the bottom of the page and then work your way to the top. I can’t stress enough the importance of being in God’s Word daily. If we don’t have the Bible as our foundation, then our lives will be like the house built on the sand, that will fall when the storms come. Build your life on the ROCK — Jesus Christ and read His Word to you daily!
