Intentional Inspirations Newsletter - 11/4/22
My daughter took this picture last night as we were driving home from basketball practice. The sunset was just beautiful. It reminded me of this verse in Romans that talks about presenting our bodies to God as a living sacrifice - holy and acceptable to God. I want my life to be a beautiful display of His grace and mercy.
Well, the homeschool basketball season has begun! We will have three playing this year — one on the girls varsity team, one on the boys JV team, and one on the boys varsity team. We are so looking forward to a fun season, making more memories with the kids.
I have some exciting things to share with you today. Take your time browsing through the information and links below. I pray you will find something to encourage you!
I am excited to share with you that I started an accountability group using the Band App. We have been using the Band App for our homeschool group and it gave me an idea! I created Sheri's Accountability Group so that I could join with other Christian ladies to be accountable for taking positive steps to improve my spiritual health and physical health. Since I sent the email out earlier this week, we have had 35 women join together in this group to keep each other accountable. It has already been such a blessing to me!
Go here to read all the details on how to join:
My 15-year-old son came in with this one night this week and showed me what he had made. Wesley is my outdoor kid who loves to do things with his hands. I absolutely loved the little cross he whittled out of wood. I told him that I wanted this one!
He is going to make some for Christmas gifts and he is thinking of making extra to sell if there is any interest.
This little wood cross is 6” tall and 3” wide. The cost is $8 including shipping (U.S. only).
I love seeing my kids use their gifts to bless others. If you are interested in purchasing one, reply to this email or leave a comment and I’ll get in touch with you.
December is such a hard time to keep up with homeschooling. Check out this video I recorded some years back where I share some new ideas to consider on how to plan your homeschool for December!
I wanted to share with you a little booklet I put together quite a few years ago called, “My Christmas Memories.” This is just a little piece of “me”….hope you enjoy it! Click here to download this PDF!
🎄Homemade for the Holidays Posts
Homemade for the Holidays #21: Peppernuts - This is a family tradition that was passed down from my grandparents. These are different from the traditional Peppernuts. They are more cake-like instead of crunchy. But boy are they good! Make up a partial batch (this recipe makes a TON) and give as gifts.
Homemade for the Holidays #22: Homemade Flannel Board - I love this idea of making a small flannel board for younger children to play with. What a great gift idea!
Homemade for the Holidays #23: Lacy Scarf {crochet project} - Crochet this beautiful scarf for a family or friend.
Homemade for the Holidays #24: Sugar Cone Christmas Trees - Want a fun project to do with the kids? These are so fun to do and would make a great table decoration for the holidays!
