Intentional Inspirations Newsletter - 4/10/21

I was so excited to wake up on Resurrection Sunday and see that my tulips had opened! Isn’t it amazing how God uses such small things, the simple beauty of His creation, to encourage us and bring us joy?

This was a busy week, full of ups and downs. It is in those times, though, that I have to remind myself of God’s power, His faithfulness, and His grace and mercy — and of my utmost need of Him!

Each day it seems that we are seeing our freedoms being taken away from us. GraceLife Church in Canada (Pastor James Coates’ church - who was put in prison for 35 days for keeping his church open), is again experiencing severe government overreach. After last Sunday, the RCMP and health authorities came in, put locks on the church doors, and then has put up 3 layers of chain link fencing around the church property. It is hard to believe this is happening in a free country. Pray for Pastor James Coates and the church family.

I am so thankful for many things though, in spite of what our country and the world is going through right now. I have been challenged in my walk with God. I have grown closer to my family. The Lord has given me boldness that I never had before to speak truth. So many things to be thankful for!

Please take some time, amidst these hard days, and thank the Lord for what He is doing in your life. You will find that as you do that, your eyes will be shifted from the troubles around you, to the One who holds you in His hands!

My Favorite Things

The Child’s Story Bible has been a consistent part of our homeschool journey over the past 20 years. I actually picked up a copy of an older version at a used bookstore years ago. Ever since, we have read through it from cover to cover many times. While I could have picked elaborate Bible curriculums to use with my kids, I chose a simpler route — a way that we could all learn together by reading aloud together and discussing. There are so many things I look back on and wished I had done better in our homeschool journey, but choosing to read aloud daily together from The Child’s Story Bible is one thing that I don’t regret at all!

Some of these doctors have treated 1000s of patients successfully. It is becoming more and more important that you become your own health advocate and do your own research.

Oh how today we need discernment from God to know what is true and what is false. I encourage you to get in the Bible and read it — daily! Having a strong Biblical foundation is going to be essential as we walk through these days.
