Intentional Inspirations Newsletter - 6/20/25
This newsletter keeps getting longer and longer, so I better wrap it up for this week and get it sent ❤️. The flowers in our flowerbeds continue to bloom. I just love seeing all the colors. Beautiful!
I have an assortment of things to share in this newsletter. I’ve been starting to think about and planning a little for our last homeschool year. It makes me sad, so I try not to think about it too much. I have so enjoyed this season of homeschooling my kids, and I know it will be time soon to move to the next season of my life.
I don’t know about you, but Satan is good at infiltrating my mind with thoughts of regret and guilt — feeling like I am running out of time to teach my kids what I feel they need, and all while feeling like I have totally failed them. Can anyone of my homeschooling mamas relate? But I know that I can’t stay there. I know the truth and that is that God gave me my children, He knows what they need, and He will fill in the gaps that I have left. It seems I still have lots to learn from the Lord. He’s still working on me!
Well, I need to wrap this up and get this posted. Enjoy scrolling through some of the fun things below. Hope you find something you can use. Praying each of you have a blessed week!
Take care. Don't fear. Trust God!
Blessings,
❤️Sheri
Want to write a book? What if I told you there was a free tool that formats your book for you — for print (PDF) or epub (Kindle)! You can sign up for a free Reedsy account and use their book editor app to write, plan, edit and typeset your books! I imported my All About Homeschool book into the app and I’m considering doing a big rewrite of this book. This tool will be just the thing to help me get it done.
If you or one of your children is interested in writing a book, this free tool will give them the structure to get it written and formatted for publishing!

This is the Youtube video that I ran across that shared about this tool. It’s a short video, but it goes over how it works.
This week I ran across this series of devotional books and decided to get the first two in the series to read through in our Bible time next year. I bought the digital downloads and have the ebooks loaded on my tablet, all ready to begin this fall! If you are looking for something to use in your devotional time, check this series out!
Another homeschool mom shared about this book on Youtube, so I decided to check it out. While I am beyond the baby phase and am almost done with my homeschooling years, I heard so many good things about this book that I decided to treat myself and get a copy. I love Karen Andreola and have a couple of her other books. I just started reading, so I’ll have to update later on how I liked it.
Classic Meatloaf
I found this recipe online and changed it up a bit and my family really loved it!
2 pounds ground beef
1 tablespoon minced onion
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons dried parsley
3/4 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Line a 9x13 glass pan with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix meatloaf ingredients in a large bowl with spoon or with hands.
Add the meatloaf mixture to the pan and shape it into a meatloaf about 8 inches long, 4 inches wide, and 3 inches tall.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
I wanted to highlight this book again this week — partly because I finished reading it and was excited to share about it again. Amy gives so generously and it truly is amazing what you get when you just purchase this one book. This book goes over how to teach your high schooler in a more relaxed, real-life experience kind of way. But that’s not all it comes with! In the book she shares a private link to a page of downloads for high school, which not only includes a bunch of helpful printables, but COMPLETE Language Arts and Math ebooks that you can download and use! Yep, that’s right!
You can get the Real Learning for Real Life as a softcover book or PDF download.
You will see at the softcover book link, that you can also purchase the Language Arts and Math books as softcover too if you wish. But if you are like me, and hate paying shipping, I was content getting the PDF version of the book, and then grabbing the PDF version of the LA and Math books on the downloads page that came with it — all for just $15!
Amy has also written books for the younger age groups too (middle years & K-Grade 3), so check those out as well. I love supporting Amy and highly recommend these books!
I have also been plugging away adding more books to the Library at The Reading Nest! This week I added:
Parables from Nature
Hardy Boys #4, #5, and #6
Anne of the Island
Anne of Avonlea
Another fun thing I added this week, is that I decided to add some Word Search Puzzles to the Reading & Activity Guides! When you subscribe to The Reading Nest, you will get the Anne of Green Gables Reading & Activity Guide for FREE! So if you are looking for great books to read to your child, subscribe today!
Did you know that you can go back and read all the past Intentional Inspirations Newsletters? Over the years, I have shared a TON of amazing content — recipes, tips, resources, and loads of encouragement. They are all archived here, ready for you to enjoy! Happy reading!
Are you looking for a simple way to teach your child cursive? Grab a copy of my Simply Cursive book today! Available in ebook and softcover format here!
I wanted to share again my personal experience using God’s Story for my daily Bible reading. I have the free Kindle version on my Kindle Scribe and I absolutely LOVE it! I am reading longer and reading more than I ever have, and I think it is because my eyes don’t get caught up in all the verse numbers and formatting. God’s Story is only marked by book and chapter, so you feel like you are reading a story — God’s Story! See below for details on how you can purchase softcover versions and Kindle versions, OR simply download the free digital versions to print or load on your devices. I can’t encourage you enough to get into God’s Word this year!
Click here to go to the book series page on Amazon! You will see links to each of the softcover volumes, as well as the link to the Kindle version of the complete book.
Click here to grab God's Story as a free EPUB or PDF file! I am so excited to see so many of you downloading the free version! I pray it is blessing you and encouraging you to be in the Word daily!
Happy reading!
