Intentional Inspirations Newsletter - 12/8/23
I can’t believe the first week of December has already passed. We decorated our home for Christmas last weekend and started doing some Christmas shopping too. This time of year is always so much fun and really helps me get my focus back on Jesus, where it needs to be all year long!
Homeschool basketball season is ramping up, which means we will be traveling all over the state of Kansas to basketball games! Life is busy, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. This time with our kids is precious and I want to savor each moment.
I forgot to add below so I will just link this here. I was listening to this podcast on women’s health this morning on the way to get groceries and knew I had to share. Here is Part 1 and Part 2. They discuss all kinds of conditions women struggle with — sleep, PMS, PCOS, anemia, menopause, and more. This is a must listen!
Below I have some fun things for you — some sales, Christmas activities, and more.
Praying for each of you, that you are finding your rest, your hope, your strength, in Jesus alone!
Take care. Don't fear. Trust God!
Blessings,
❤️Sheri

Last year me and the kids enjoyed reading Leslie’s Christmas story that she wrote and released a section of it each Friday after Thanksgiving up to Christmas. This year Leslie is writing a story called, Christmas Road Trip. You can go to her Christmas Stories page and find the series. Subscribe to her newsletter list so you make sure not to miss a week!
I am SO excited to announce details about the 2024 Bible Reading Challenge! Leslie has these challenges each year, along with a Facebook group that we use to share what we are learning. This year we will be studying through Revelation! Go to this post and read all the details. Be sure to purchase the workbook to go along with the study so you are all ready to begin January 1! Can’t wait!
I have been doing a search for a good journaling Bible and ran across this Bible that is currently on a HUGE markdown (but only for a few more hours!). This would make a great gift!
While the hardcover journaling Bible above is pretty and such a great deal, the soft leather-like feel is more appealing to me I think. I love this Treasured Bible from Daily Grace — the cover is amazing too! This is the one that I will be putting on my Christmas list!
Also check out the Christmas Factory Sale at Daily Grace! There are lots of deals — 50% off or more — so go do some Christmas shopping and bless your loved ones with great Bibles and devotional books!
Have fun making these beautiful paper snowflakes with your kids! We made a bunch of these one year and put them on our tree and taped on our windows.
The Homeschool Mom has a great assortment of Christmas lessons and activities!
I have a fun freebie for you today! Quite a few years ago, I was asked to contribute to a neat little ebook about having a thrifty Christmas. Nine real homemakers were interviewed…including me! All the interviews were compiled into this fun download. Go to my post here to download it for free!
If you are looking for a short story that teaches a big lesson, be sure to read this one aloud to your kids this Christmas season — The Rich Family in Church.
Do you desire to have fun making memories with your children this holiday season? Do you wish you had a fun and easy way to document all those special memories? I don’t know about you, but this is my desire as we head into the holiday season. While I still want learning to be taking place, I don’t want to be so caught up in “doing school” that we miss out on LIFE — on all the opportunities we have over Christmas to build relationships and make memories with our children.
I wanted something that we could use to incorporate some language arts into our December, as well as provide a way to document our memories. I also wanted to keep Jesus at the very center of all we did over the holidays.
Our Christmas Journal was my answer to my own need — I pray it will bless you and your family as well!
