Intentional Inspirations Newsletter - 12/30/22
This will be the last newsletter of 2022. This time of year always puts me in a mode of looking back and looking ahead. Many times I find myself looking back with regrets, and looking ahead to all the things I want to do better in the New Year. Am I the only one? I usually start making lists of all I want to accomplish, goals I want to achieve, disciplines I want to put in place, etc., only to be discouraged about a week or two into January when I fail to meet my expectations. You too?
Well, I want to begin this New Year with a different mindset. With everything going on in the world, living for “today” and not “worrying about tomorrow” as the Bible says, seems more relevant and applicable than ever. It’s not bad to make plans, set goals, etc., but I want to do so with the mindset of living each day for the Lord, to the best of my ability.
When I set goals, it seems like it is always for something “out there” in the future that I want to attain. It’s like I am always living for what I want to accomplish in the future, instead of taking one day at a time and living well for that day. I’m thinking out loud here and may not be making sense :). But I pray that you are hearing my heart.
Let me give an example — one of the goals I have had for many years is to read through the Bible in a year. I pick out a plan that has a designated reading for each day of the year. Well, once I miss a day or two here and there, it starts to become overwhelming, I can’t seem to catch up, so I just quit. Recently though, I realized that reading through the Bible in a year should not be my goal. My goal should be to have a desire to be in God’s Word every day. If I miss a day in my reading, I don’t beat myself up, I accept that God’s mercies are new every morning, and I pick up the next day where I left off. I also include in my prayer time, a prayer seeking God and asking for a desire to be in His Word, to get to know Jesus better through His Word.
I found a Bible reading plan that is not overwhelming (reads through the Bible in 3 years). Each day’s reading is a chapter so I can read one chapter or more if I desire and/or have time. It is also not dated but just goes by day #’s so if I miss a day I don’t feel I have to try to catch up. [For those asking about what plan I am using, I am using a reading plan that is on the Olive Tree Bible App. If you don’t want to download the app, I found this 3-year reading plan that is very similar that you can download.]
All this to say, that I want to encourage you as you look to the New Year, to think about your goals in light of living each day for the Lord. Live for today, for we are not guaranteed tomorrow.
Have a blessed week! Praying each of you experience God’s grace, peace, and joy as you begin this New Year!

I watched this documentary this week - Anecdotals. It is very well done and is a message that needs to be spread far and wide. No matter your political affiliation, no matter where you stand on vaccines in general, you need to be aware of what is really going on with these Covid vaccines. The lady who put this documentary together was injured herself by the Covid vaccine. I encourage you to watch this and then share with others. Lives are on the line and the stories of the injured are being silenced. This is from the website:
This movie provides a glimpse into the lives of the Anecdotals–those of us whose lives have been changed drastically by taking the vaccine. It also reflects on the division and politics that prevents us from getting much needed care. Anecdotals is a personal journey that focuses on questions, not answers, and people, not politics.
Go here to watch this documentary today.
I also encourage you to go watch this episode of The Highwire. The whole episode is really good, but I especially want to have you go to minute 44 and watch. It is the story of Olivia Teseniar, who was in the early Moderna Covid vaccine trials, and was not only injured after receiving the first and second shots, but later began having additional injuries. It is a heartbreaking story of not only her injuries, but the fact that she got no help or treatment from Moderna or the medical institution where the trial was being done and had to seek treatment herself from doctors that knew nothing about these shots. It is criminal what is going on. So many of these that were injured in the trials were dropped from the trials, their injuries not reported in the documents that were submitted to the FDA to receive their emergency use authorization approval, and they were ignored when they reached out for help from the trial institutions. Please take time to educate yourself about what is going on with these Covid shots. As Olivia’s story confirms, injuries from these shots not only can happen immediately, but a couple years later. I fear that we are only seeing the beginning of massive injuries, including aggressive cancers, and deaths from these shots. Please, please educate yourself and rethink getting the shot or taking any more of them.
