Hello friends! Intentional Inspirations began years ago as a weekly newsletter I sent out every Saturday morning, where I shared about being intentional in all areas of my life - in my homemaking, my parenting, my homeschooling, my Christian life, and more.
Our lives are changing!
Now that we graduated our youngest from our homeschool, Intentional Inspirations will be shifting a little to sharing more of my life with you. It will be the same “me” but instead of just sending a newsletter full of resources to use in your home or homeschool, I will be writing more personally from my heart — sharing what the Lord is teaching me, struggles I face, some of my favorite recipes, what I am learning, tips to live more intentionally, and more — basically just sharing my life with you in the hopes that what I share will be an encouragement and blessing to you.
Getting my JOY back!
Over the 25 or so years I’ve been in this blogging world, somewhere along the way I lost some of the joy I once had to write. It used to be fun to just “write posts” without worries about SEO, sales, stats, etc.
It’s time I got back to that joy of writing - simply sharing from my heart with no agenda but to encourage you!
What that means for this newsletter.
First, I will not be calling it a “newsletter” any more. That sounds so cold and impersonal! This space will simply be called “Intentional Inspirations” — a place for me to write and share what is going on in my life.
That means that I may only post once a week or it may be several times a week — it all depends on what the Lord puts on my heart to share and what is going on in my life at the time.
I don’t want to be limited by a schedule, but to have the freedom to write when inspiration hits.
What will I write about?
Well, in the past I have shared a lot of tools and resources for homeschoolers, as well as some for just homemakers. While I will still post some homeschool stuff as I come across it, and create some products for homeschoolers, my posts here will more often be geared to homemakers in general — writing posts that will encourage any woman in any season of life.
Can you tell I’m excited?!?!
I truly am excited to get started really writing again! Thank you for being here over the years. I pray that I will continue to be an encouragement to you. God gave me a passion to encourage women years ago, and that passion is being rekindled with these changes. Can’t wait!
Now, I promised a Banana Bread recipe so I’ll put that in below. Our family LOVES this recipe. I usually double it to make a bunch. A while back I got these mini loaf pans and they work great for Banana Bread. We usually stick them in freezer bags in the freezer and get some out when we want a snack. Because they are small loaves, they thaw pretty quick too. Here is the recipe:
Stop long enough to enjoy!
One thing that becomes more clear every year is how quickly these days go by. I want to encourage you to slow down. Enjoy the little things. Look your husband or your kids in the eyes and really listen. Play games together. Bake up a batch of this Banana Bread and enjoy a treat with your family — just talking, eating, and BEING together.
Until next time!
Blessings,
❤️Sheri
