The weather has really begun to feel more like fall. I love this time of year when the weather cools down, the leaves start changing, and the air is brisk. I am continually amazed at God’s amazing creation. Even in a world that is so full of sin, God’s creation screams out of His majesty, His holiness, His power. It is such a gift and I am so thankful for God’s goodness to us.
Before I let you scroll on down to the miscellaneous links and goodies below, I wanted to give a quick update on my kefir adventure. I am still learning and probably making mistakes along the way. Things seemed to be going good and I thought my grains were multiplying, but then I realized that I was just making a bunch of curds instead. The hard part for me is when I strain my kefir, to figure out which are the grains and which are the curds. So I keep plugging away at it. It is still making kefir in the process, and I am enjoying making kefir smoothies to drink. I won’t give up and I’ll keep at it. Maybe in a few more weeks I’ll have the hang of it! I have two friends who want my extra kefir grains, but I think it will be a while until I have enough to share. We’ll see.
Another first for me this week was making cream puffs. Our homeschool group makes these huge cream puffs and sells them (loaded with pudding) at the annual “Taste of Newton” event where they block off part of downtown and have tons of booths with homemade food. This is the big fundraiser for the athletics department. In the past one of the moms made all of the cream puffs and froze them, and then several moms helped bake them the day of the event (yes you can bake them from frozen and it works great!). We sold around 250 cream puffs last night (sold out)! It was a huge success.
Well, I better scoot and get this posted. Have a blessed week!

Redeeming Your Phone Time is one of the studies that I recently received from The Daily Grace. And oh how I need this study! It is so easy to allow my phone to dominate my time and this study ask the hard questions and makes me be honest with where my heart is. Do you struggle in this area too? I highly recommend this study. Right now it is on sale for only $5!
The CDC created v-safe, a smartphone-based program, to collect health assessments after Covid-19 vaccination. Approximately 10 million people signed-up and submitted health reports after Covid-19 vaccination.
ICAN’s legal team sued the CDC twice leading to a court order requiring release of the data. ICAN has taken the CDC’s official raw data and created a dashboard interface which allows users to graphically view the 144+ million health entries obtained by ICAN.
Go take a look at this interactive dashboard. One quick stat is that out of the 10 million people that registered to use the v-safe, about 7% had to seek medical attention due to an adverse reaction. That is very concerning, especially when you consider that this information was known to the CDC way back to the middle of last year. It also explains why they fought to not release this information to the public.
Another point to note is that the data shown in this dashboard are limited to only pre-populated fields checked by v-safe users (for example, selecting from a list of prepopulated symptoms). The information captured in free-form fields, where someone could add reactions not shown on the list - like heart issues and strokes - has not yet been produced and ICAN is still litigating to obtain that information.
If you want to watch a video where ICAN’s attorney goes through the data, you can watch that here.
Please use this information to educate people about the safety issues surrounding the Covid vaccines. Send this information to your state legislators and demand that they not allow any Covid vaccine be mandated.
