Hello friends! I am still enjoying baking with sourdough. I baked the above loaves today. They raised so big they won’t fit very well in my containers for bread! I tried something a little different today though and I think it worked out well. This recipe that I use called for 3 cups of milk. Well, we ran out of milk yesterday, so this morning when I was mixing this bread up, I used 2 cups of water and 1 cup of my milk kefir. I wasn’t sure if it would be ok, but the bread turned out so soft and yummy!
I pray each of you had a blessed Resurrection Sunday! We had a great day at church, then with family in the afternoon and evening. Now we are gearing up for my youngest daughter’s graduation from our homeschool. She graduates next week. I really don’t know where the time has gone. It seems like it was just yesterday that the kids were little, I was teaching them to read, and we were enjoying afternoon read-aloud times. While I am sad to see my homeschooling years come to an end (my youngest will graduate next year), I am a little excited to see what God has for me in the next season of life. If I have one piece of advise to give young mamas, it would be to live in the moment, to cherish each and every day, to slow down, quiet your heart, and soak it all in.
Well, I better wrap up for now and let you get to the links below. I had fun putting together a bunch of “favorite things” from the past few weeks. Hope you find something you can use. Praying each of you have a blessed week!
Take care. Don't fear. Trust God!
Blessings,
❤️Sheri
My kids are LOVING the homemade yogurt. These little jars are working perfectly too. They grab a jar, add in some stevia, and a spoon of jam and mix. I love that they grab these for a snack instead of something else that may not be as good for them.
As you can see in this picture, I am also using these jars to put kefir in. I blend up some kefir with stevia and frozen strawberries, and put it into these jars so they are ready to drink. We are all drinking kefir more regular now and eating yogurt. Yeah! This was a HUGE win!
If you are local to me and want to try making your own kefir, email or comment and let me know! You can stop by and pick up some kefir grains soon, plus I created a free course that explains how to do it here. If you are not local to me, these are the kefir grains I bought off of Amazon and they are still going strong!
This is another recently “favorite thing” that I just have to share with you! I bought a Scrub Daddy to use in the kitchen to wash dishes and clean the sink, etc., and I LOVE it! It works amazingly. So today I bought more in different colors so I can use some in other parts of the house. I cleaned the bathroom sink today and it worked great! You should give this a try yourself!
Another homeschool mom shared about this website in her email newsletter this week. Wow! I had to share it with you all here. Appian Media is creating Bible documentaries for adults, teens, and children. You can watch the documentary series for free. If you want to support their work, you can purchase workbooks that go along with each documentary that is filled with full color photos, maps, and more. QR codes are placed in the workbooks that will take you to video segments for that part of the workbook. Appian Media also has several free podcasts to listen to. It really is amazing and you must check it out! I will put some links below to jump to the specific areas of their site. Plus, I will embed one of the documentaries below so you can take a look.
The above is the whole Trial & Triumph: Revelation’s Seven Churches documentary. Enjoy!

I heard about this website on a podcast I was listening to this week. It is called Creation to Revelation, and they have some amazing resources you can use to help your children get a good overview of the whole Bible. They have beautiful flashcards, coloring books, placemats, and so much more! Go take a look at all the products they have here!
I wanted to share again my personal experience using God’s Story for my daily Bible reading. I have the free Kindle version on my Kindle Scribe and I absolutely LOVE it! I am reading longer and reading more than I ever have, and I think it is because my eyes don’t get caught up in all the verse numbers and formatting. God’s Story is only marked by book and chapter, so you feel like you are reading a story — God’s Story! See below for details on how you can purchase softcover versions and Kindle versions, OR simply download the free digital versions to print or load on your devices. I can’t encourage you enough to get into God’s Word this year!
Click here to go to the book series page on Amazon! You will see links to each of the softcover volumes, as well as the link to the Kindle version of the complete book.
Click here to grab God's Story as a free EPUB or PDF file! I am so excited to see so many of you downloading the free version! I pray it is blessing you and encouraging you to be in the Word daily!
Happy reading!
