Intentional Inspirations Newsletter - 5/30/25
I can’t even believe it is the end of May already! We are settling into our summer break and finding ourselves busy of course. I’m ready for a slower week hopefully soon! Our flowerbeds are looking pretty. I just love the flowers — they make me smile. The weather has been cooler here in Kansas the past week and I have loved opening up the window to the cooler air and the sound of the birds singing.
Below I have some fun things to share with you — just some things that I have enjoyed over the past couple weeks. I have absolutely LOVED working on The Reading Nest — a little project inspired by my love of books. I also share below about an amazing free tool that you can use to create your own digital planner — amazing! There’s more, but I’ll let you scroll down and see what’s there.
I so appreciate each of you that take time to read my ramblings :). My desire is to encourage you by sharing what is inspiring me. Like I said in the last newsletter — it’s the little things really. I’m learning to rest in the Lord, find contentment in Him, and slow down to appreciate the many blessings that come my way each day.
Well, I better wrap up for now and let you get to the links below. Hope you find something you can use. Praying each of you have a blessed week!
Take care. Don't fear. Trust God!
Blessings,
❤️Sheri
This documentary is available to watch for free and I highly recommend it. It covers some of the things that happened during Covid, and really is a wake up call to what could come in the days ahead for the Church.
I recently placed a Revive order and wanted to share a couple of the things I bought. The first item is the Cleaner Concentrate. I put 1 tablespoon into my 16 oz. spray bottle then topped with water. This is my all-purpose cleaner that I use in the kitchen and bathroom. It is AMAZING! My sinks are shiny and clean and it smells so good — like Christmas! I also put a capful of this cleaner in another 16 oz. spray bottle and topped with water to use to clean glass and mirrors.
Read this blog post to see how you can use this cleaner to clean EVERYTHING in your home pretty much! I can’t wait to give more of these a try!
Another product I am trying is the dish soap. It gets the dishes so clean and again, smells amazing, and I just use a little squirt in the sink.
Revive has LOTS of essential oils and blends, as well as other products like laundry detergent, dishwasher and washing machine cleaners, face skin care products and more! The quality of Revive oils is amazing without having to pay the high cost of other popular brands.
If you are a new customer, click here to get $10 off your first order of $50 or more! Oh, I didn’t mention that they have free shipping on EVERY order, no matter how small! Really! Go check out the Revive shop today. You’ll love their products, guaranteed!
When I have some spare time here and there, I’ve been working on adding more books to The Reading Nest. I love books and this is a way I can share that love with others by offering this free resource!
Below you can see the books I have added to the Library so far.
CLASSICS
A Girl of the Limberlost
Anne of Green Gables
Freckles
Hardy Boys #1 - The Tower Treasure
Hardy Boys #2 - The House on the Cliff
Just David
Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm
HISTORY
American History Stories - Volume 1
American History Stories - Volume 2
SCIENCE
The Story Book of Science
Besides adding classic old books, I am adding the Berean Reader’s Bible, as well as a Chronological Bible Reading Plan!
This has been a fun project that I will be working on for a LONG time! I have so many books I want to get added, so be sure to subscribe to be notified when a new book is added. I will also be working on Study Guides to go along with the books, but for now I am focusing on building the Library at The Reading Nest.
One tip for you: If you download the Substack App, when you subscribe to The Reading Nest, it will keep your place when you are reading. For example, say you started reading Anne of Green Gables on the App and got through Chapter 2. You get out of it, close the App, and come back to it the next day. When you open that post in the App, it will bring up where you left off the last time you were reading.
One more tip: In the App, you can “bookmark” or “save” the book posts you are reading. That way you can easily find them when you want to continue reading, without having to scroll through all the other posts.
If you love good books and want a way to access a whole Library of them in one place, subscribe to The Reading Nest below!
Have I got an AMAZING free tool to share with you! You can customize your own digital planner that can either be printed out OR used as a digital planner on your tablet (such a Remarkable, Kindle Scribe, etc.). The PDF planner file will be interactive and clickable so you can jump back and forth between areas of the planner.
I created a planner for 2025 for myself to use and will include the download below if anyone else wants to use my “version”.
To customize your own planner, this works best if you are on a desktop or laptop and not on your phone. You can do it on your phone, but you will not have the “preview” of the planner to help you see what your planner will look like.
When you go to this link, read the instructions and then click “Get Started”. On the right side, click on the “Advanced Settings” and scroll down to view all the different settings that you can do. The planner on the left side is a live preview so you can see what the planner looks like as you change the settings. You can scroll down in the preview of the planner, click on dates and titles in the planner to jump to the different areas to see what it looks like. When you are done, click the “Print to PDF” and then you may need to select “Save as PDF” in your printer options, then save the PDF file to your computer.
Have fun playing around with this! You can create all kinds of versions of calendar planners, journals, etc.
I wanted to share again my personal experience using God’s Story for my daily Bible reading. I have the free Kindle version on my Kindle Scribe and I absolutely LOVE it! I am reading longer and reading more than I ever have, and I think it is because my eyes don’t get caught up in all the verse numbers and formatting. God’s Story is only marked by book and chapter, so you feel like you are reading a story — God’s Story! See below for details on how you can purchase softcover versions and Kindle versions, OR simply download the free digital versions to print or load on your devices. I can’t encourage you enough to get into God’s Word this year!
Click here to go to the book series page on Amazon! You will see links to each of the softcover volumes, as well as the link to the Kindle version of the complete book.
Click here to grab God's Story as a free EPUB or PDF file! I am so excited to see so many of you downloading the free version! I pray it is blessing you and encouraging you to be in the Word daily!
Happy reading!
