Intentional Inspirations Newsletter - 5/27/22

Since we are heading into a holiday weekend, I thought I would go ahead and get this newsletter ready and send it out today. Fridays may actually work better for me anyway and since I want to try to get back into being consistent I may land on Fridays for sending out my weekly newsletter.

I am loving the flowers in our flowerbeds. My mom gave me this pot of flowers that sits in our front flowerbed and it is really taking off. It always amazes me how much the beauty of God’s creation brings joy into my life. Sitting on the porch, listening to the birds sing, and enjoying the fresh air does wonders to my weary spirit!

We are wrapping up our homeschool year and are ready for a little break. I do have some plans to do some more educational things over the summer, but it will be more relaxed. I know that I need some down time and my kids do too. It has been a long couple of years and my prayer is that we all have some time to relax and have some fun.

Guess what? I published a new blog post this week — the first since about two years ago! I had so much fun writing again and it helped that it was on a topic that I love - organization. Read all about my new favorite tool I am using - link below!

Another thing I have been enjoying is my study in Revelation. For some reason I have always been scared of Revelation and never really read through it or studied it. Due to the times we are living in, it has been such a blessing to dig into God’s Word. I am so very thankful that God is in control and that I am tucked safely in His hands! Someone shared this with me recently and I took some time to watch it. I know this is a touchy subject today, but I will not back down on the truth in God’s Word. This documentary talks about abortion and how the church is to be handling this issue. It is heartbreaking what we as a country have allowed to take place over the past 50+ year. Watch this and prayerfully consider what the Bible says on this issue.

I just finished ready this book aloud with the kids and it was so good. Shadow of His Hand: A Story Based on the Life of Holocaust Survivor Anita Dittman is an amazing story of a young girl’s faith and trust in God, in the midst of terrible circumstances. I am considering reading Trapped in Hitler’s Hell, a biography of Anita Dittman’s life, that goes into a lot more detail of her experiences. Anita Dittman died in 2020 at the age of 93. Her testimony is so powerful. Many times as we read we stopped to talk about similar things happening in our current day. Yet we were inspired by her life and story.
