This past Sunday, Pastor Matt shared another series of "Christ is..." statements and I wanted to share them here. The sermon was looking at the OT books of Job through Song of Solomon, how they point to Christ, what we can learn about Christ, and how we can apply that to today. Oh how people need HOPE in our crazy world. Christ truly is our HOPE! Enjoy! ❤
CHRIST IS…

CHRIST IS...the greater Job, the One to whom Job points, the truly righteous man who suffers for being righteous but who overcomes through His suffering to secure eternal blessing for us.
CHRIST IS...the blessed Son of David, who is praised in Israel’s songs. He is the guarantee of their victory and their rescue from exile.
CHRIST IS...the fully blessed man who fully and truly prospers and in Him we find unending delight.
CHRIST IS...greater than Solomon. He did not just possess wisdom, he was wisdom itself in the flesh, fulfilling the law by walking in perfect fear of the Lord, and through this, securing our eternal forgiveness for our unending folly.
CHRIST IS...the unending and greater preacher of the book of Ecclesiastes, exhorting us to eternally meaningful life known only and fully in Him, saved by His grace, moved along by His love, doing the works He has appointed for us to do, as evidence of His grace in us.
CHRIST IS...the One who will overcome all that is eternally vain, and will provide for us that which is eternally meaningful.
CHRIST IS...the great husband who lovingly pursues His bride and overcomes every obstacle in order to welcome her into his eternal paradise.
Christ is our hope.
